Dorothy L. McClendon

Dorothy L. McClendon has been serving the Greater Kansas City community as a criminal defense attorney since 2005 where she began her legal career practicing with the Missouri State Public Defender System before starting her own law firm in 2008.
Dorothy L. McClendon is a member of the Missouri Bar and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University (Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri) where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Socio-Political Communications. She earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
Some of her bar-related and other community affiliations include the Jackson County Bar Association, Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, Sisters in Law, Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Parliamentarians, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, National Congress of Black Women, and the Greater Kansas City's Women Political Caucus.
Dorothy is a board member of the Kansas City Youth Court and the UMKC Women's Council.
She has successfully managed political campaigns and enjoys strategizing with elected officials, aspiring political candidates, corporations, nonprofits and various community organizations on political issues.
