Dorothy L. McClendon is a member of the Missouri Bar and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University (Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri) where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Socio-Political Communications. She furthered her education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and earned her law degree.
Some of her bar-related and other community affiliations include the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri, Jackson County Bar Association, Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Parliamentarians, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., National Congress of Black Women, Madam for America Political Action Committee, and the Greater Kansas City's Women Political Caucus.
